South Georgia Medical Center’s marketing department, led by Director of Marketing Erika Bennett and Marketing and PR Specialist Kara Hope Hanson, was awarded gold in the web-based production category for a short form web video in the healthcare sector at the 2023 AVA Digital Awards.

The “Moments Matter” video produced by SGMC to promote the expanding and nationally recognised cardiovascular programme within the health system was recognised as outstanding.

The AVA Digital Awards are an international contest honouring the best conceptualization, direction, design, and production of digital media. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals organises and serves as the judging body for the AVA Digital Awards.

SGMC’s Director of Marketing Erika Bennett said, “Our heart and vascular programme has grown substantially, adding seven specialists to the team and launching two new services to include cardiac electrophysiology and a structural heart centre.” Knowing that our patients have options, and appreciating the chance to earn their trust and confidence with their care, we wanted to highlight the high quality of medical services provided by SGMC.
